Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) recognizes the academic achievement of college students and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders. Established in 1918, Phi Theta Kappa has a presence on almost 1,300 community college campuses in 11 nations. The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) recognized Phi Theta Kappa as the official honor society for two-year colleges in 1929. More than 3.5 million students have been inducted since 1918, with approximately 250,000 active members in the nation's community colleges, making Phi Theta Kappa a true catalyst among members and colleges.

CCC Garden Club

Location: CCC Garden, located at the Lone Tree Campus, south of the 600 building and ceramics kiln
The CCC Garden Club is open to CCC students and employees alike! The goal of this club is to provide educational experiences to foster our participants' knowledge of high elevation gardening, native flora, and environmental stewardship. Activities include CCC Garden maintenance and projects, monthly educational presentations from Coconino Master Gardeners, guided tours of productive local gardens, and community volunteer projects such as invasive weed pulls and seed library help.
The CCC Garden is a designated Master Gardener educational site, an official pollinator garden, and, as of Fall 2021, it is also now the site of CCC's Bridges 2 Baccalaureate medicinal garden. The CCC Garden is located at the Lone Tree campus, south of the 600 building and ceramics kiln.

Students Advancing STEM
Each year the Students Advancing STEM club works on one student-selected STEM-related project such as aquaponics, garden restoration, or a microbial analysis of our campus. This year the club will be participating in the Flagstaff Festival of Science events, the STEM city STEM Celebration, Science Fair judging, and more!
